Senior / Trade Finance Executive

The role is responsible for supporting and executing trade finance activities across the company’s global trading operations, ensuring efficient financing structures, accurate cost management, timely transaction execution, and compliance with applicable trade finance regulations and company policies. The position maintains effective relationships with banks and financial institutions and coordinates closely with Trading, Operations, Treasury, Accounting, and other internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports the development of the company’s trade finance strategies and works on optimizing the financial aspects of trading transactions.
  • Manages relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Determines the most suitable credit terms for trade finance and conducts negotiations accordingly.
  • Performs financial cost calculations and shares estimated and final costs with relevant teams.
  • Ensures that trade finance processes are executed accurately and on time.
  • Keeps abreast of international trade and finance regulations, integrates changes into business processes, and ensures compliance with applicable laws.
  • Prepares financial reports related to trade finance operations and presents them to senior management when necessary.
  • Manages trade finance products such as letters of credit and bank guarantees used in trading operations.
  • Maintains relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure the most favorable credit terms and financing options for trade transactions.
  • Resolves disputes effectively with customers, suppliers, and financial institutions.
  • Executes additional tasks and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor

Qualification

Skills 

  • Familiarity with operational flows related to letters of credit (L/Cs) and various payment methods,
  • Having a CDCS certification is a plus,
  • Deep knowledge in ICC rules (UCP 600, URC 522, ISBP, URDG 758) and Incoterms is a plus,
  • Self-motivated and disciplined team player,
  • Strong communication skills,
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken,
  • Demonstrates a proactive, professional, and flexible work approach,
  • Team-oriented, organized, and productive,
  • Able to handle stress effectively,
  • Capable of working in a complex and fast-paced environment,

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience – 7 yrs for senior level
  • Advanced level of English
  • Have at least a bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated participation in training programs that contribute to professional and personal development
