Rüya Bayegan is Group CEO of BGN. Under her leadership, BGN has grown to become the 6th largest independent energy and commodities trading groups in the world with operations spanning 120 countries and offices in 20 locations.

Rüya’s vision is for BGN to be a leader in the global energy transition, providing reliable and affordable energy to meet global demands, while accelerating industry-wide decarbonisation efforts.  To achieve this, she is leveraging BGN’s position as a leading player in the LPG market, to expand into LNG, ammonia, minerals and metals trading, as well as investing in upstream mining infrastructure and operations.

She champions diversity and inclusion and has set an ambitious target to hire 50% women in BGN including in leadership roles.

Her achievements have been recognised globally, including the Aramco Trading Lifetime Achievement Award (2024) and Energy Woman of the Year (2025).
