BGN has signed a long-term agreement with Electro Mobility Materials Europe (EMME), a major new French industrial project focused on the production of battery-grade nickel and cobalt materials essential for the electric vehicle sector.
Under this partnership, BGN will act as EMME’s primary commercial partner, supplying critical metals and managing the global commercialization of battery-grade products. The agreement marks a significant step in BGN’s continued expansion into metals and energy transition businesses.
Located in Bordeaux, the EMME project represents an investment of more than €500 million and is expected to supply approximately 10% of the EU’s nickel demand and 7% of its cobalt requirements for batteries by 2030.
This partnership reinforces BGN’s commitment to forming strategic collaborations that support the global energy transition, while advancing industrial development and long-term security of supply in critical markets.
